Welcome to the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD):
The TDPUD is a non-profit, publicly owned utility agency overseen by a locally elected Board of Directors. Since 1927, the TDPUD has been providing the greater Truckee area with reliable and high quality water and electric services while guiding the community to conserve resources. Energy and water conservation lowers the District's energy costs, puts money in customer's pockets, and helps move Truckee towards a sustainable energy and water future. The TDPUD has a complete set of conservation and energy efficiency programs. For more information on our many free programs and customer rebates, click here. Electric Department: The goal of the TDPUD Electric Department is to provide low-cost, reliable, and sustainable electricity services to our customers. The Electric Department supplies energy to our residential and business customers, optimizes the District's renewable portfolio standard, and manages the annual tree-trimming program. Water Department: The goal of the TDPUD Water Department is to provide low-cost, reliable, and sustainable water services to our customers. The Water Department is responsible for monitoring water supply and quality, implementing the customer water meter project, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of the water system for customer use and fire safety. TDPUD Board of Directors The TDPUD Board of Directors are publically elected officials and represent owner/customer interests including setting policy, rates, and assessing implications of new legislation. The District's General Manager reports directly to the Board. Board Meetings occur on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month and are open to the public which are encouraged to attend and participate. Current and past Board meetings can be viewed on-line with streaming video and are also available live on TTCTV local channel 6. News and Public Information: The TDPUD is committed to conducting the District's business in an open and transparent manner while collaborating with our customers, local agencies, and stakeholders to serve the needs of our customers.
