Truckee Donner PUD Announces FREE Garden Party & Seminar
Want to save water and money and have a beautiful garden?
Truckee, Calif. (June 9, 2014) – The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) is hosting a Garden Party & Seminar on Tuesday, June 24th from 5:00PM – 8:00PM in the Patricia S. Sutton Conservation Garden. This informative event includes displays and presentations by local experts on water-wise landscaping & gardening. Seminar presentations will occur at 6:00PM and 7:00PM on irrigation best practices, lawn alternatives and other water-wise landscape designs.

“The on-going drought makes it even more important to reduce water usage.” said Trisha Ruby, TDPUD conservation program administrator, “This event will help our customers be water-wise and maintain a beautiful yard.”
TDPUD customers are encouraged to attend the event and learn about water conservation for your garden, erosion and storm water control, plant selection, irrigation, landscape materials and the many ways that you can conserve water in and out of your home.
Local exhibitors include TDPUD, Truckee River Watershed Council, UCCE Lake Tahoe Master Gardner, Pat Sutton Memorial Scholarship Fund, Rock & Rose Nursery, and more!
- Free water-saving measures will be available to TDPUD water customers
- Refreshments will be served
