Lighting Program Rebates & Giveaways

Lighting is generally the simplest, most economical and most cost-effective way to save energy. Pick up a FREE 12-pack of energy efficient CFL light bulbs at the TDPUD or at various community events throughout the year. Or, receive up to $2 (credit on bill) per fluorescent bulb that replaces an incandescent or halogen light.

Ground Source Heat Pumps are considered to be the lowest cost heating and cooling mechanical energy system commercially available today.

Ground Source Heat Pumps: Customers purchasing and installing CA approved electric ground source heat pumps will receive a $200 per ton rebate.

This program is designed to help customers at the low and moderate income levels incorporate cost-effective energy and water efficiency measures into their homes and businesses. Contact TDPUD for details.

LED Holiday Lighting Exchange Program

During the holiday season the TDPUD will exchange your old holiday lights with FREE strands of ultra efficient LED holiday lights. Lights are usually available by late November.

The residential Green Partners program will provide customized FREE energy and water saving measures to residential customers. This program will be a combination of FREE energy and water saving measures and education.   

This new educational program encourages customers to replace existing home and business electronics equipment with new, high efficiency electronics that meet Federal EPA Energy Star standards.

Portable/Take Home Energy Metering Loan Program 

See for yourself how much energy your appliances really use. The TDPUD will loan out 110-230 volt appliance electric energy-use meters to customers upon request.
