 Outage Preparation, 12-12-08

Outage Dashboard Definitions:   

Open Calls: Calls reporting potential electrical problems that are currently being investigated or worked on by District staff.

Customers: Number of District Customers being served power in a defined region of Truckee, CA.    

Customer Outages:  Number of District Customers believed to be currently affected by power interruptions.  This a predicted number based on number and location of phone calls to the District.

During an outage, call the main number: 530-587-3896. If this is after business hours, the Truckee Donner PUD has an answering service that will notify the on-call electric crew.

Outage Response
Electric outages in our service area are infrequent and usually short. Widespread outages are often weather-related. If this is the case, you may have trouble reaching the District because of the large number of incoming calls. If your power doesn't come back on within a reasonable time, please try calling again.

Life-support
Let us know if you or a neighbor depends on life-support equipment so that staff may assist you in the event of a power outage.

Do not attempt to remove tree limbs from any power lines. Please call 530-587-3896.
