Two summer events will help YOU save water, save money!

Truckee, Calif. (July 18, 2013) – The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) announces two free water conservation events. These informative and fun events will provide information and free water-saving measures to TDPUD water customers to help you save water and money.

TDPUD Free Toilet Exchange at Tahoe Donner’s Waterpalooza:*

Tahoe Donner Driving Range, 12850 Northwoods Blvd

*Please call 530-582-3931 or visit for details and to see if you qualify for the free toilet exchange.

TDPUD Conservation Garden Party & Seminar:

Monday, August 12th, 5:30PM – 7:30PM

Truckee Donner PUD, 11570 Donner Pass Road

The Truckee Donner PUD is setting up a free toilet exchange at Tahoe Donner’s August 10th Waterpalooza. Qualifying TDPUD water customers can bring up to three old toilets and exchange them for new, water-saving toilets. This one day only TDPUD event is open to the public and all TDPUD water customers can also pick up free water-saving measures and talk to our water conservation experts.

Want to save water and money and have a beautiful garden? The Truckee Donner PUD is having a water party and we invite you to come and learn about water conservation for your garden, erosion and storm water control, and tour the Patricia S. Sutton Conservation Garden. Talk with experts on plant selection, irrigation, and landscape materials. This event includes presentations by experts and a host of local exhibitors to help you implement your water-saving ideas.

“TDPUD water customers use two to three times more water in the summer than in the winter.” said Steven Poncelet, TDPUD public information and conservation manager, “These two water conservation events will help our customers reduce their peak water demand and save them money.”

Information on these two water conservation events can be found at (events) or by calling 530-582-3931. We also invite you to visit the TDPUD at 11570 Donner Pass Road.
