Come on out to Truckee Big Truck Day!
We're excited to once again be a part of one of the most fun events in Truckee: Big Truck Day!
TDPUD will be out in full force, bringing our big trucks, along with fun games, activities and giveaways for all ages. Presented by Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District, Big Truck Day gives residents a chance to come out and learn about what your local agencies do, and, more importantly, gives kids a chance to check out all of the cool equipment their local agencies use to provide essential services to Truckee.
Kids can take a sky-high ride in our bucket truck, or play our water truck carnival games! We'll also have a photo booth where kids can dress up like linemen scaling a power pole. You can also play a trivia game to test your TDPUD knowledge and win conservation-related prizes, and stop by our tent to learn how to put money back in your pocket with our rebate programs.

Back for 2024: Tickets for Bucket Truck Rides
New this year we’re going to use a ticket system for bucket truck rides. Tickets are free; we’re using them to cut down on the amount of time people have to wait in line.
Simply head to the bucket truck tent and grab a ticket for your group. Then you’ll be free to check out the rest of the activities in the corp yard rather than waiting in line.
Keep
an eye on our whiteboard, and when your number is on the board come back to the tent and get suited up to take your bucket ride. It’s as easy as that!
Please note that once we’ve hit the maximum amount of rides we can accommodate during the event, we will stop giving out tickets. So make sure to grab your ticket early if you want to ride!
