Protection of customer personal information and credit is very important to us. A utility credit application helps us determine whether a deposit is needed. This is a soft credit check and will not impact your credit score. Existing customers will have their payment history and activity used to determine whether a deposit will be applied.
Security Deposit and Setup Fees
There is a $60 setup fee to open a residential account. A security deposit may be required when starting service. Account deposits are credited back to the residential account after 24 months of excellent payment history.
There is a $60 fee to setup a commercial account. Commercial customers require a deposit for all accounts that are set up for service. When the account is finalized, the deposit is applied against the final bill balance and any remaining monies will be reimbursed to the customer. Federal law (Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act) requires us to use measures to identify, detect and lessen the chance of identity theft.
Deposit amounts, if applicable, may equal two times the highest bill in the preceding 24 months of billing history at the property. Check out a complete list of our fee and rate schedules.
