Based on what you need, we will provide you with energy and water savings products to help you start saving immediately.  Products may include:

Building Efficiency Rebates

Features and Benefits

A leaky building envelope and/or duct system allows your nice heated air to escape to the cold outside, instead of keeping you warm and comfortable.  Seal up your home and HVAC systems to reduce drafts, improve indoor air quality, and reduce your heating costs.

*Testing before and after mitigation is required to qualify for either mitigation rebate.

Eligibility

  • Primary heating source must be a permanent electric space heating system

 

Program rules and Requirements

  • Only TDPUD electric customers may qualify for these rebates.
  • Attach dated sales receipt/invoice with energy efficient equipment and/or services clearly identified.
  • Provide proof of energy efficiency results (i.e. blower door or duct test results)
  • Application must be received within 90 days of invoice repair date.
  • Rebate not to exceed the cost of repair.
  • Not valid for new construction projects.

Window Rebate

Features and Benefits

It can be expensive to heat your home during the cold winter months, but swapping old, low-performance windows with high efficiency ones can reduce the cold from entering in and improve your comfort. 

 

Rebates

Receive $5 per square foot of window to replace single-pane windows or dual-pane windows over 20 years old with qualifying windows.

Eligibility

  • Primary heating source must be a permanent electric space heating system
  • Existing window must be single or dual pane over 20 years old
  • Windows must meet Energy Star specifications for Northern-Central Climate zone or equivalent*
    • U-factor ≤ 0.30andSolar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) ≤ 0.40
    • See EnergyStar.gov for additional specifications
  • Provide proof of decommissioning of single pane windows (photos or receipt from landfill)
