The California Public Records Act (CPRA), Government Code 6250 et all, clearly defines public records, the public's accessibility to those records, and the responsibility of the District in matters of public records.
The District Clerk is the "Custodian of Records" for the District. As such, is responsible for maintaining all official District records in compliance with State, Federal, and local regulations.

With ever changing technology, SB 272 was enacted to meet the challenges and needs of the public in accessing information. SB 272 requires agencies to produce and publicize enterprise systems in a catalog accessible on the agencies internet website.
