Since 1927, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (Truckee Donner PUD) has been providing the greater Truckee area with reliable and high quality water and electric services while guiding the community to conserve resources. Truckee Donner PUD is a not-for-profit, community owned utility governed by locally elected Board of Directors.

Energy Services

Truckee Donner PUD's electric utility strives to provide low-cost, reliable, and sustainable electricity services to our customers. Integral to this success is to make investments that balance rates, renewables, and reliability.

Water Services

Truckee Donner PUD's water utility is operated to ensure a safe and sustainable water supply for today and future generations. This is accomplished by relying on decades of scientific study on the Martis Valley Groundwater Basin (MVGB) which is used to understand and manage the aquifer/watershed and which is the basis for compliance with California's groundwater management laws and regulations.
